LotFotL (Living off the Fat of the Land) was born in 2007, and is a vegetable production farm, now located at its new home at Quinney Farm, west of Elkhorn, WI. Because of our recent move, we are in organic transition and plan to achieve organic certification again in 2014. Our goal is truly to live in harmony with Mother Earth and have a relationship with land. We grow 70+ different vegetables, fruits, and herbs and make these available to you through our CSA program, in addition to restaurants and grocers. Our CSA season is 26 weeks long, and delivered every Thursday. You can also check out our season extender, the “Bridge Share”, that will add 4 extra weeks to your season.
We are reshaping CSA to fit with more people’s lives. Going on vacation and unable to arrange for share pick up? Go right to your own account and put your share on hold. Paying the full price of a CSA share all at once, a little hard on your grocery budget? LotFotL’s auto pay system can automatically deduct monthly CSA payments from your checking account. Questions or concerns? We are there for you by phone or email. We go the extra mile for you.
In addition to produce, we offer grass fed beef, pastured pork, honey, maple syrup, fruit from Michigan and Wisconsin, eggs, chickens, and many other items, all delivered to convenient drop off locations near you. Our online farm store makes it easy to purchase most of these items right on line and have them delivered to any of our CSA pick up sites. Go ahead and visit our website to see how it works: www.lotfotl.com
We also have an advanced worker share program, allowing folks to work for their food! Most folks choose to work either 4 hrs a week or 8 hrs every other week to earn a full sized Gonzo share. Deeper your connection to your food, your farmer, and your planet.
Community is important to us. Every year since 2007, LotFotL has donated to local charities, including Waukesha Food Pantry, Habitat for Humanity, and others.
Thank you! We could not being doing this without YOU!
