We are professional gardeners working with chefs to create local seasonal cuisine. We believe that when farmers and chefs unite to create a regional food system, agriculture can thrive, farmers can have a healthy quality of life, and chefs can have access to the freshest ingredients available.
To the chef at home, we offer a processor’s share designed for the person or household who likes to put up food for long term enjoyment. There will be four deliveries, one in each of the months of July, August, September, and November that will include large quantities of vegetables and herbs for you to pickle, can, freeze, ferment or otherwise store. Savor the flavor and quality of this season’s harvest long past the time when the garden ceases to produce for the year.
This share will provide you with ingredients for classic canned goods, as well as easy to freeze and use vegetables. Cravings for summer can be met with stored sugar snap peas, sweet corn, broccoli, roasted sweet red peppers, pickles, dilly beans, salsa, tomato sauce and pesto. Make sour kraut and kimchi, then put on the finishing touches with winter storage vegetables . Go into Winter with a stocked pantry and enjoy the season.
