Primrose Valley Farm is a growing Certified Organic, CSA farm that also hosts an on Farm Market, and provides educational and community based programming. The farm has a total of 83 acres, 25+ acres is devoted to forest habitat and a developing orchard, and 17 rotational acres in food production and a flock of laying hens. The farm is located just 19 miles southwest of Madison and just 10 minutes outside of the Swiss Village of New Glarus. The farm is in the township of Primrose in the “Driftless Region” and features a valley of rich, fertile soil surrounded by rolling hills and a creek that is a tributary of the Sugar River. The farm is operated entirely within the framework of organic and sustainable farming practices, which provide holistic guidelines for soil and field management, water and air cleanliness and managed woodlands. Finally, the farm maintains a significant commitment to permaculture ethics and environmentally “green” operations.

Primrose Valley Farm feels that everyone deserves healthy food and is active in participating in and promoting FairShare’s Partner Shares program in Wisconsin as well as facilitating a Tikun Olam Share that provides assistance to Illinois families in need. Additionally, the farm grows produce specifically for weekly donation to several community based food pantries in Wisconsin and Illinois.
