Adaptogens are a class of medicinal herb widely known for their effects on stress and vitality (ginseng is the most well-known). However, they have many other medicinal uses, and are especially helpful to people who experience allergies, autoimmune disorders, hormonal disturbances, and anxiety, as well as other symptoms or conditions. This workshop will discuss the uses of adaptogens in general and specific herbs in particular (chosen based on participants’ topics of interest). A detailed handout will be provided along with sample combinations for common conditions.

Announcing the summer schedule of The Family Herbal, a workshop series focused on helping busy people integrate herbal remedies into their daily lives.  Special emphasis is placed on commonalities and differences in using herbs with folks of all ages.  These workshops are designed for all experience levels and no prior knowledge is required.  Children are welcome.  Childcare and work trade are available for most classes.
