Join Chris & Juli McGuire of Two Onion Farm for a tour and discussion of drip irrigation. Two Onion Farm raises 5 acres of produce for 400 CSA members. They use drip irrigation to irrigate all of their crops, including vegetables transplanted on bare ground and plastic mulch, direct seeded vegetables, and perennial fruits. They will discuss their experiences with designing their system; purchasing and working with hoses, driplines, and fittings; irrigation scheduling; upgrading their well pump, pressure tank, and underground piping; and practical issues of installing, removing, and working around their irrigation system. Bring a dish to share for a potluck following the field day! RSVP to Erika Jones by September 21: erika@csacoalition.org.
