Troy Community Farm, Madison’s first urban farm, has been growing certified organic food since 2001. Its 5 acres are devoted to intensive vegetables, herbs, and flowers, with a focus on CSA. Join Farm Director Claire Strader to see Troy’s cover crops in action and to discuss timing of cover crop establishment and plow-down/incorporation, interactions between cover crop and crop rotations, and the philosophy and finances of putting land into cover crops.
