Farm to Feast Dinner

October 6, 2013 @ 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

| $45.00

Celebrate early fall and sample the delectable Wisconsin harvest at FairShare CSA Coalition and The Black Sheep’s Farm to Feast Dinner. This special benefit dinner features farm-fresh produce from Regenerative Roots Farm (Jefferson) and High Meadows Farm (Johnson Creek), and along with beers from Tyranena Brewing Co. paired with each course. [Tickets are available online at https://fairsharefarmfeast.eventbrite.com/.]

Menu (subject to change based on seasonal availability):
  • Heirloom Vegetable Stew paired with Headless Man Amber Alt;
  • Wilted Kale, Chickpea and Onion Salad with lemon vinaigrette, paired with Three Beaches Honey Blonde;
  • Goat Cheese and Pickled Beet Crostini, paired with Bitter Woman IPA;
  • Butternut Squash, Apple and Sunflower Seed Ravioli with Sage – optional pheasant or vegetarian, paired with Painted Ladies Pumpkin Spice Ale;
  • Sweet Potato Ice Cream with Porter Caramel Sauce and Sweet Bread, paired with Chief BlackHawk Porter

“We feel very privileged and excited to be partnering with folks who are really doing a lot of good work that, until recently, has been hard to find in more rural areas,” said Dennis Fiser, who farms Regenerative Roots with partner Anne Drehfal. “Tyler at The Black Sheep is doing a lot to source local food for his restaurant and Tyranena is another great local resource. We’re happy to work with them to create a more vibrant local food system in Jefferson County.”

Tickets are $45 per person, and the dinner supports the work of FairShare CSA Coalition.

“Farm to Feast is a celebration of the wealth and wonder of local food in our region,” said Kiera Mulvey, executive director. “We’re thrilled to bring together farmers, farm supporters, local restaurants and the public to share fine food and delectable drink in support of the local food movement.”
