Practical Farmers of Iowa is cooking up an agriculture with a blend of profitable enterprises, healthful food, strong communities, and a commitment to future farmers. “Made from Scratch” is the conference theme, and the event features multiple sessions on field crops, fruit and vegetable production, grazing, profitable enterprises, on-farm energy, cooking, local foods, partnerships between farmers and friends of farmers, and more. A Soils 101 short course is set for January 12.
