Women, Food, and Agriculture Network Annual Conference

California-based healthy food and farming advocate Temra Costa’s new book–Farmer Jane: Women Changing the Way We Eat–profiles 30 women who are creating a healthier US food system through their work as farmers, advocates, teachers and chefs. WFAN is honored to welcome Temra to Iowa on Saturday, Jan. 29, to give the keynote address for out 2011 annual conference at the Wildwood Lodge, Des Moines.

Other workshop topics will include mother-daughter food/farm business ventures, political leadership training and how to preserve pollinators on your land. Also, updates on Harvesting out Potential apprentices, Women Caring for the Land conservation education, a local foods lunch and lots more!
