Fundraising
Bike the Barns is a fundraiser for FairShare CSA Coalition and supports one of our critical programs – Partner Shares, which brings fresh, organic food from local farms to low-income families in our community. [Video] Between 2008 and 2012 we have increased the number of households we assist through Partner Shares by over 225 percent. In 2012, we provided over 23,000 pounds of fresh, nutrient-dense vegetables to limited‐resource families, reaching more than 2,500 individuals. With continued support, we will reach more households and community agencies with resources for improving nutrition, health, and community.
We owe a special thanks to all of our sponsors, riders, and volunteers who help make this program happen through their support of this event. Riders create personal fundraising pages through our online registration system to invite their friends and families to support their ride and keep track of their fundraising progress.
