Making Good Food Work

April 19, 2011 - April 20, 2011

This is a three-day participatory conference and incubation laboratory designed to develop innovative solutions and document best practices for distributing local and regional food, with a focus on under-served communities. This is an participant-driven, action-oriented conference, centered around the development of ten to twelve real-world projects or businesses, led by good food advocates.

On the first day, conference participants will form into teams around these projects and around three to five general distribution issue areas, which will be selected in advance through an application process. Over the next three days, participants will work together in these teams to help build actual businesses, solve existing business challenges, develop research projects, and identify best practices to help tackle the challenge of local and regional food distribution logistics, infrastructure, and transportation.
