Plate to Politics Wisconsin

April 8, 2017 @ 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Are you ready to lead in your community? Learn how to tell stories that move people to action at this Plate to Politics Workshop.

Interested in running for office, but not sure where to start? This one day training provides hands on skills training to Wisconsin women in food, agriculture, and natural resources who want to play a critical role in transforming our nation’s food system.

This is a great opportunity for women who are running or planning to run for office to network and be inspired. Women who want to ramp up their advocacy leadership in healthy food and farming or with an interest to help other women run for office are also encouraged to attend.

  • Move people to action through stories with Liz Johnson, co- founder and board member at VoteRunLead
  • Keynote by Sarah Lloyd, 2016 candidate for Congress, dairy farmer, and special projects coordinator at Wisconsin Farmers Union
  • Lunch panel with local elected officials and community activists, including Erica Roth, Green County Board of Supervisors; Gretchen Mead, Executive Director at Victory Garden Initiative; and more to come!
  • Opportunities for networking with other Wisconsin women leaders
  • Continued training through Women, Food and Agriculture Network’s Plate to Politics Program and VoteRunLead!

$20 registration fee, including lunch. Limited registration scholarships available
