Health insurance partnerships are one example of incentives that are available for CSA members. FairShare CSA Coalition was instrumental in launching the CSA Health Insurance Rebate programs offered by area HMOs.
Other incentives may include workplace partners who encourage CSA participation as part of wellness or sustainability programs, and may offer payroll deduction or other forms of incentives.
This innovative partnership is a joint effort between area Health Plans and FairShare CSA Coalition to encourage organic farming, keep local dollars in our communities and to build a healthier Wisconsin. Health Plan Partners support FairShare’s work and mission, promote healthy lifestyles, and take a proactive approach to improving our health, environment, and community.
In 2017, Physicians Plus, Unity Health, and Gundersen Health Plan joined forces under the Quartz brand.
All providers will offer the Quartz Well program.
Members with coverage from Dean can use their point system to earn cash back for healthy habits (like eating fresh food from a CSA!) and use their points earnings to offset the cost of joining a farm. Details on their Living Healthy Rewards Program are outlined below.
If you live in La Crosse, Eau Claire, Eastern Minnesota, Northeast Iowa, and have Health Tradition with Mayo Clinic Health System, you may be eligible for the Eat Well Move More Rebate.
