Resources for Growers and Eaters

Did you know that our Resource Pages are chock full o’ tidbits for growers and eaters?

Old Oak Family Farm

Consumers (aka “eaters”) will find an introduction to CSA; cooking, storage and food preservation instruction and tips; and information about local, regional and national resources. [Consumer resources]

Growers will find info on vegetable and fruit production; marketing, business planning and risk management; livestock and pasture; new growers (starting a farm business, searching for and acquiring land, incubator programs and mentorship opportunities); soils and compost; and more. [Grower resources]

Also be sure to look at our Events Calendar, which contains a comprehensive listing of educational programs from several organizations in the Midwest, including MOSES, CRAFT, Practical Farmers of Iowa, and others. It also lists webinars and regional conferences.
