FairShare CSA Coalition, a Madison, WI-based nonprofit, supports and connects community supported agriculture (CSA) farmers and consumers. Through outreach and education we foster a cohesive network of committed farmers and community members who believe CSA is the backbone of a vibrant, just and healthy food system, where all families have access to locally produced, organic food and have strong connections to their farms, food and community.
FairShare is seeking an Executive Director to build on the successful growth of the organization and steer the next phase of organizational growth, including a new strategic plan with a vision for supporting an evolving small-scale farming landscape. Core responsibilities for this role include: organizational leadership and management, revenue generation, prudent fiscal management, relationship development and management, and centering equity in decision-making.
LOCATION: FairShare’s offices are located in Madison, WI. While there is flexibility to work a hybrid/remote schedule, 1-2 days of in-office work are required each week to perform in-person administrative functions and attend local events and meetings.
SALARY: This is a full-time, salaried exempt position. The salary range for this role starts at $65,000, commensurate with experience.

The Events Intern will primarily assist with helping coordinate Bike the Barns, FairShare’s largest fundraiser. Proceeds from the event benefit our organization and the Partner Shares Program, which helps limited-income families afford farm-fresh veggies through CSA shares. Bike the Barns is a day-long biking event featuring farm tours of area FairShare farms, gourmet local food, on-farm activities, and live music.
POSITION PERIOD: Early May to late September, with some flexibility around start/end date and reduced hours in May. (Must be able work the event on September 17, 2023)
HOURS: 18 hrs/week (Hours are flexible and will vary depending on the state of event planning).
WAGE: This internship is a paid position at $12/hr.
