Endorsed Member Farms are certified organic (or in transition), sell through CSA, produce the vast majority of their products on farm, and demonstrate a high level of customer service.

Financial assistance and SNAP benefit processing for your CSA members with low incomes

Expectations of Endorsed Farms:

Attend the annual FairShare farmer meeting
Complete an annual survey
Pay annual dues on a sliding scale

Active Member Farms use organic production practices, sell their crops into local markets, and participate in the broad network of FairShare farms throughout the Midwest.

Benefits of Active Membership:

Listing on the FairShare website as an Affiliated Farm
Access to the FairShare Affiliated Farm Seal for customer outreach
Free field days and farmer gatherings
Discounted registration to the Organic Vegetable Production Conference
Discounted registration to the Farm Employee Management Series
Eligibility to participate in the Organic Vegetable Farm Manager Apprenticeship
Opportunities to participate in funded field research
Assistance with organic certification
PLUS the benefits of Connected Farms

Expectations of Active Farms:

Complete a brief annual survey
Participate in the FairShare farmer network by joining a FairShare committee, mentoring other farmers on organic certification, assisting with events, and/or sharing your knowledge with other farmers
Pay annual dues on a sliding scale, starting at $50*

General Member Farms participate in the broad network of FairShare farms throughout the Midwest.

Benefits of General Membership:

Membership in the FairShare farmer listserv, with over 360 farmers and agricultural professionals
Access to regular field days, farmer gatherings, and other educational events

Expectations of General Membership:

Pay annual dues on a sliding scale, starting at $25*
