The following FairShare Farms will be present at the 2014 Open House:

Free to the public, attendees can learn more about FairShare and CSA! Approximately 35 CSA farms will have information, smiles and 2014 sign-up information. Meet your local farmers, find pick-up locations, learn about on-farm events, and choose your share. Meat, Veggies, Eggs and more!

Parking & Metro Transit

You may park at Monona Terrace all day on Sundays for $5. Want to park for free? View the Map of Madison’s Downtown City-Operated Parking. For a list of bus routes and schedules, visit the City of Madison’s Metro Transit website.

Inside Monona Terrace

Farmer booths will be set up in Ballrooms A, B, C and D on the fourth floor. Find CSA presentations in Hall G, immediately across from the ballroom entrance.

2:15-3:00 p.m. Cooking It All: Tips to make the most of your shares,” presented by Patricia Mulvey of Local Thyme CSA Menu Planning Service
3:15-4:00 p.m. CSA for Small Households,” presented by Erika Janik, author and longtime CSA member
Information Station

Need assistance finding a farm? Wondering which farms deliver near your home or work? Have questions about Partner Shares, Bike the Barns, or CSA health insurance rebates? Visit the Information Station immediately inside the Ballroom for assistance.

The Back Porch

Physicians Plus LogoPhysicians Plus has generously sponsored the Back Porch area where you can rest, peruse your farm brochures, and enjoy the music of Reid Miller while your kids play games and make crafts. Enjoy a slideshow of FairShare farm photos, too! Find the Back Porch in the southeast corner of the ballroom.

Natural Parenting Expo

Natural Parenting Expo 2014The 2nd annual Natural Parenting Expo is running concurrently at Monona Terrace from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Adult entry is $5; kids are free. (Entry to the CSA Open House is free for everyone.)

Open House Color LegendThis year, we will be posting color-coded circles at each farm’s booth to tell you which area of town that farmer delivers to. Use the color legend (left) to locate a farmer near your work, home, or school.
