Intern with FairShare CSA Coalition

2013 FairShare Internship Posting

Application Deadline: Monday, February 11, 2013 or until the position is filled.

FairShare CSA Coalition’s lovely interns, Beth and Lauren. Lauren recently completed her internship; we were enjoying a celebratory farewell breakfast.

As a FairShare CSA Coalition intern you will become immersed in the local food movement in one of the most cutting edge regions in the country. The Coalition’s Community & Grower Programs focus on consumer and farmer outreach and education, building awareness of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), ensuring that CSA is accessible to all households and strengthening the community of family farmers in Southern Wisconsin.

“[FairShare] has been a very important part of my last year in school. I feel very lucky to have had these opportunities to further my skills and to be a part of such a great organization.” — Laura Quist, 2009/2010 Community Program Intern

As an intern you will assist in outreach campaigns, administrative tasks, workshop coordination, resource development and research and fundraising events. You will gain valuable community organizing experience and contribute to critical programs that work to build the strength and vitality of our local farms and to increase access to good, healthy food for all.

FairShare CSA Coalition has up to two volunteer internship position available for the Spring 2013 semester. The internship is 5-10 hours/week (a detailed schedule will be determined at the time of hire) and open to students and community members able to commit to a regular schedule for a minimum of 4 months.
