In Wisconsin, a new Organic Vegetable Farm Manager Registered Apprenticeship will create a pathway for farmers to train and retain skilled workers for WI farms. "I love getting a box of produce every week. It forces us to get out of our "veggie routine" by creating fresh meals each night of the week.
My family joined a CSA to support local farmers who want to produce nutrient-rich produce and to introduce us to new or lesser known vegetables. We specifically sought out Los Jalapeños due to the farmer's agricultural background and desire to grow herbs and vegetables that are unique to Mexico. It also gives us the opportunity to practice Spanish by teaching my daughter the names of the veggies as well as talking with those who are at the tent. Gracias a Juan y su equipo!" -Erin, CSA member

Welcome to Jumping Jersey Meats, the lunch stop on Bike the Barns 2018! Amy and Marques Koenig pasture cows for both milk and meat on their picturesque rolling pastures. They go above and beyond in attaining a more sustainable dairy farm, using cover crops, rotational grazing, organic practices, and more.
Check out our interview with Amy to get a sneak peak of the operation. Pro tip: make sure you find her on September 16th, because she is a wealth of information. You won't want to miss the opportunity to chat with such a passionate farmer in person!
